Lower Slaughter Manor Cotswolds wedding video | Zoe + Steve
Zoe and Steve's wedding was a lovely little intimate affair at Lower Slaughter Manor in the Cotswolds. We were recommended to them by the team at Lower Slaughter and once Zoe and I realised that we grew up in streets next to each other back in our home town in South East London we built up a great relationship and rapport. After scouring You-Tube for inspiration Zoe decided that she not only wanted the whole day captured for her wedding video, but she also wanted a wedding music video or wedding marryoake to boot, and of course we were more than happy to oblige.
I have filmed a wedding music video before for a good friends wedding so I knew the challenges involved. It was little trickier this time as we were also shooting the wedding day itself but having 3 of us filming the wedding day made it more manageable and the wedding being all in one location made life a great deal easier. Before the day Zoe and I debated which song to use; We checked out other marryoke videos online and realised many use the same songs so we wanted to use something fun, different and a song that all generations would know. Eventually Zoe decided upon the Andy Williams track I can't take my eyes off of you.
What is essential when filming a marryoke video is that you have a good group of people that are happy to perform in front of the camera. Luckily Zoe and Steve as well as their family and friends were absolutely fantastic. They were up for anything, and we built up a great relationship on the day with everyone at the wedding. The day ran smoothly and with the help of the staff at Lower Slaughter Manor filming the wedding video was a joy.
Syncing up in the edit suite is always a bit tricky but with planning and creativity we managed to avoid any pitfalls that a wedding videographer may have when filming a marryoke film. It's something that we'd happily do again, so if you are interested get in touch with us, we're always happy to discuss your wedding film ideas.
You can check out the marryoke film I shot for a friend and mentioned above on You-Tube, it was made in a non-professional capacity and I did have a little to drink on the day, so you'll have to give me some leeway....
