Cotswolds Wedding Video Great Tythe Barn | Kate + Josh
It’s always a sunny day when we film at the Great Tythe Barn in the Cotswolds and Katie and Josh’s day was no different. The Great barn in Tetbury is so beautifully set out that you can’t help but have a relaxed, fun vibe on your wedding day. What I loved about Josh and Kate’s wedding was that it all took place at the venue. From the prep, to the ceremony, to the dancing – it was all in the grounds of the barn. Which meant we could stroll around doing our creative wedding videography thing, in the gorgeous sunshine.
As you probably know there’s always at least 2 of us Spiders on the day. That makes an enormous difference as it means we can capture so much more. So, whilst I was off filming the lovely Kate getting ready surrounded by friends and family and Josh in the ‘Bull Pen’ with his best men, the 2nd videography Marcus was deep in the grounds of the Great Tythe Barn going full Attenborough.
Would I have time to get those prep shots AND chase bee’s around the grounds? Probably not. We also found time to send up the drone to get some of those stunning aerial establishing shots that are so hugely popular these days. (Maybe a price increase is due on that one). All in all we found plenty of time to do a whole load of fun wedding videography before the Ceremony had even begun.
The wedding day itself was huge fun to film and be a part of. The ridiculously outdated law about having to get married under a roof meant that filming of the ceremony outdoors wasn’t the easiest, but we managed to get all the important bits without too much fuss. The outdoor games, the animals and the huge confetti line meant there was plenty of action for us to film, and the kids on the dancefloor were great fun.
Kate and Josh were over the moon the with the final wedding videos and, as always, it was a pleasure to film at the Great Tythe Barn in the Cotswolds.

Matt doesn’t get into recommendations but if he did he’d highly recommend the film ‘Whiplash’ and tell you to go watch it.
