Aynhoe Park Wedding Video Oxfordshire | Katie + James

Jumping Spider were back to Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire for a fifth time to film Katie and James luxury wedding video. Aynhoe Park is one of the most popular wedding venues for photographers and videographers so it’s a real privilege that we get to film there so often. I mean what’s not too love being surrounded by stuffed animals and rocket ship parts?

As with most weddings at Aynhoe couples tend to be from London, often hiring the whole venue for a few days on and around the wedding. This was the case for Katie and James who were truly settled in when we arrived to film the wedding. I’d been communicating with Katie a lot prior to the wedding as she had many video projects that we were involved in. Including a kid’s film on the day of the wedding and a surprise ‘celebrity’ video that we made to surprise James with on the wedding day.

With all this being the case Katie opted for 4 jumping spider wedding videographers on the day. This meant not only a great deal of video coverage but also enabled us to edit a short wedding video on the day. A Jumping Spider first. Coverage started early in the morning with location shots, clay pigeon shooting, bride prep, groom prep and a kid’s film being covered by the wedding videography crew. Apart from the odd rogue puppy, all went well.

The wedding ceremony took part in Aynhoe church next to Aynhoe Park which meant that we could get some very cool Steadicam shots of Katie walking across the ground of the venue to the ceremony. The ceremony went smoothly. The pugs and children all did what they were supposed to and Katie and James said all the right things in the church.

It was then on to the wedding reception. Drinks and canapés all round, whilst the jumping spider video crew went to work capturing the guests mingling and some incredible drone shots. Some of which made it into the wedding highlights film. Aynhoe offers an abundance of objects to film and with the extra videographers it meant that we had an enjoyable time capturing as much as Aynhoe had to offer.

The rest of the wedding day was beautiful with loads of entertainment, stunning scenery and the best rooms at any wedding venue I’ve ever seen, not just in Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds but the whole of the UK. The fourth wedding videographer, Mark, beavered away in the edit and produced a lovely little film that was shown on the big screen straight after the speeches. It went down a storm.
