Jumping Spider's Wedding Video Packages

This blog is to help you decide what you'd like from us. We do suggest four creatively named packages on our website but they're mainly a guideline for couples and an excuse for us to be a bit quirky with our package names; I'm pretty sure we're the only wedding videographers with a package called the Swayze. In this blog we'll break down the suggested packages and also delve into all the other options available for your wedding video.

Some important points to consider when deciding upon a wedding video package:

1. The length of  the wedding video varies greatly depending upon our couples preference. Here are some examples of what length and product we have supplied in the past:

  • On average many traditional wedding films we make are usually between 30-40mins long. This type of wedding video would include a cutdown version of the ceremony and a cutdown version of the speeches. On some of these wedding video packages we'd also supply an additional 2-4 minute highlights film.
  • We are getting more and more requests for shorter wedding videos of 10 minutes or less. These would only include snippets from the ceremony and speeches but alongside these shorter wedding videos we'd also supply the ceremony and speeches uncut on a tailored DVD menu. So our couples have a record of everything.
  • Different cultures and couples can have different expectations for their wedding videos. On occasions we have supplied extra long wedding videos of 1hour and 30minutes or more.  Although we would not recommend a wedding video of this length if it is our couples preference then we are happy to supply it.

2. Shooting a wedding video with just one camera person is, of course possible, I've done it before but it's not a service we provide.  Multiple cameras give you multiple angles and greater coverage. You can read more about why we shoot this way on our 1 camera, 2 camera, 3 camera, 4 blog.

3. Consider what you would like filmed on the day. Do you want the preparation filmed? Do you like the idea of guests leaving messages to camera? You can read more about guest messages on our wedding blog.

4. Consider what you would like filmed around the wedding day. We  travel around the UK and beyond to make wedding videos. If we are travelling far we are often there the day before so you can always consider having us around to film the day before the wedding. We can film family and friends meeting, a couple photo-shoot or the wedding day preparation. It all adds something extra to the wedding video.

5. What do you like in a film? Do you have any favourite scenes or ideas for a shot. We love creating unique wedding videos and we have plenty of equipment available to us. We have jibs, dolly's, drones, go-pros, snorricams (Google it) and much more so we can do plenty of creative things for your wedding video if that is what you're after. Check out Helen and Darren's wedding video, where we rigged a go-pro to a car, to a tree branch for the ceremony and to Darren's head whilst he was surfing.

6. What style of wedding video do you like? Rustic weddings like Charlotte & Johns are popular and they lend themselves to a handheld style of wedding video whilst weddings at grand locations such as Castles and Cathedrals tend to lend themselves to more elaborate film-making, using glides, steadicams and tripods.

7. Wedding marryoke's. Yes we can make a wedding music video or marryoake if that's what you are keen on.  You don't need to go to a specialist marryoke film-maker for this service. Just contact us and we'll discuss in more detail. Check out Steve and Zoe's wedding marryoke video to see an example.

Our suggested packages are just that;  suggested. We put them up to help couples get an idea but our service is completely bespoke. Tell us what you want and we can make it happen. Except 3D; we can't offer that yet. Although we do have the contacts....

Here's a breakdown of our example wedding video packages and what's included:

The Cary Grant

This is the smallest wedding video package we offer  and it's ideal for those who are looking for a simple but beautifully made visual memento of the key moments of the day. 2 camera-persons will film the day from 2 hours before the ceremony until the first dance is finished.  The locations, guests arriving, details, ceremony, reception, reception details, speeches, cake cutting and first dance will all be captured and edited into a creative wedding video set to music of our couples choice.

The Humphrey Bogart

The Humphrey Bogart and Clarke Gable are our 2 most popular wedding video packages. The Bogart is a more in-depth film than the Grant and covers more of the preparation and a little bit more of the evening. Also included in this wedding video package is the additional wedding video highlights which is hugely popular for sharing with friends and family on social networking sites.

The Clarke Gable

The Clarke Gable is a big jump up from the Humphrey Bogart. A 3rd camera person is bought in by us for this wedding video package. Coverage is comprehensive and the wedding video will include coverage from Bride and Groom Prep until late into the evening. The 3rd camera person is essential for us to film the groom prep and guest messages and it allows us to get more elaborate shots of the day without effecting any coverage.

The Swayze

The Swayze is a huge wedding video  package and we don't believe that anyone else in the wedding industry offers anything quite like it. Filming begins before the day where we spend time with our couple; interviewing and filming. We then cover the entire wedding day, even using a drone to get aerial shots. The final wedding video includes all of this plus animations. Animations in your wedding video? now how many people have that? Check out some wedding animations on our animator Nick's page.

So there you have it. I hope that helps a little. Of course the best way is to just drop as a line or an email and let us know about your day and the type of wedding video you are after.
