Cain Manor wedding video in hampshire | Ellie + Stu

The Bijou Weddings venue of the beautiful Cain Manor in Headley Down, Churt, situated on the Surrey / Hampshire borders, was the stunning setting for Ellie & Stu's fabulous Manor House wedding. Ellie, being a student of drama, really wanted a wedding video full of visually beautiful, cinematic moments as well as a separate, more comedic video for her guests; Stu, being a fan of Ellie’s, was inclined to agree. So we at Jumping Spider Films set about making three distinct wedding videos for them to share with friends and family:- a short wedding highlights reel, a longer, more complete wedding film and a really fun wedding marryoke music video.

Now from a wedding videographer’s point of view, when a wedding takes place all at the same venue –the bride and groom preparation, the ceremony and reception – it gives us so much more time and freedom to capture a real variety of shots; the atmosphere becomes much more relaxed, we had plenty of time to set up glide-tracks and dolly systems and all of those special cinematic wedding angles you can see at the start of the wedding highlights reel become just a point and shoot away.

The bespoke wedding film package that Stu and Ellie tailored together, after detailed discussions and professional advice from us, meant that we were asked to film the bride and groom preparation, the wedding ceremony, the speeches and wedding reception until late in the night.  Really getting to know our couples, before and on the day makes the wedding video edit a really complete project and at Jumping Spider Films’ our most important value is that it’s not about our style but yours - and style was something Ellie and Stu’s stunning Manor House wedding had in abundance.

Our main job as wedding videographers is to capture all of those details a bride and groom will want to remember year after year, from the shabby chic wedding ring holders to the vintage bunting strewn across the table plan, the lace wrapped floral arrangements and the crisp yet contemporary colour scheme; a day flooded with soft creams, cool powder blues, hints of lilac and strong navy hues all accentuated by the smiles, laughter and a few happy tears of friends and family.  We love featuring all of the new wedding trends we are seeing this wedding season – naked wedding cakes that aren’t as naughty as they sound(!) and a set of stunning five feet tall, illuminated initials that really made an impact on the dancefloor.

As well as making sure we have all you’d ever want to look back at nailed down, Ellie and Stu’s vows were also some of the sweetest we’d ever heard; to Stu, Ellie is perfect, to Ellie, or rather one of the young people Ellie works with, getting married is about finding someone with whom to grow old and fat - and capturing those sentiments is something Jumping Spider Films is totally on board (and on camera!) with!

Thank you to Ellie and Stu for choosing Jumping Spider Films as their wedding videographers and also for booking the gorgeous Cain Manor which provided such a beautiful backdrop to their wedding film; we had a lovely time and wish you the very best as you continue to enjoy life (and grow old and fat together), now as husband and wife.
